Which length suits my dining table?

The usual rule for a linear pendant is a fixture between half and two thirds the length of the table. The 39.4 in version therefore sits well over a table of roughly 60-72 in, and the 47.2 in version over 72-84 in. Both are 3.1 in deep, so they stay narrow above the table rather than crowding the place settings. If your table falls outside that range - or you are lighting a kitchen island rather than a table - we make this bar to a custom length; send us the tabletop dimensions.

How high above the table should it hang?

The cord is 59 in (150 cm) and adjustable, which covers standard and raised ceilings. Over a dining table the fixture is normally set 30-36 in above the tabletop: high enough to clear sightlines across the table, low enough that the marble stays the object you see rather than a glare source. The ceiling base is L5.9xW3.1 in, so it covers a standard junction box.

Is it dimmable, and can I change the bulbs?

No on both counts - the LED is built into the bar rather than fitted as bulbs, and this model is non-dimmable. Colour temperature is fixed when you order: 3000K warm, 4000K neutral or 6000K cool. Over a dining table 3000K is the usual pick, since it flatters food and warm metals. If a dimmer is essential to you, tell us before ordering and we will point you to a dimmable fixture instead.

Will it light the whole dining room?

It is rated for 108-215 sq ft (10-20 sq m), which covers most dining rooms as the primary fixture. In an open-plan room where the dining zone runs into a living area, treat it as light for the table and plan separate light for the seating side.

Is the marble the same on every piece?

No. Spanish marble is quarried stone, so the veining pattern and the exact grey differ bar to bar - the photographs show one example rather than the piece you will receive. The brass is H65, an alloy that holds its colour rather than plating over a base metal.
