Nestled in the leafy suburb of Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania, this newly built private residence called for a lighting statement worthy of its dramatic two-story stairwell. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the space with natural light, and the brief was simple: let the stairwell breathe, and give the eye somewhere spectacular to land.

The answer was a cascading, tree-like chandelier in brushed brass, its branches trailing hundreds of iridescent crystal blossoms from the top of the stairwell down toward the entry below. The fixture echoes the organic curve of the wrought-iron balusters and the warmth of the oak treads, tying together the home's mix of traditional millwork and contemporary lines.

Suspended from a single point above the landing, the chandelier reads differently from every level of the staircase, a dense crown of crystal from below, a cascading curtain of light from above. It's designed to live with the house, not just decorate it: quietly sculptural by day, and glowing warmly once evening comes.
