Moon and Sun Lighting: Celestial Shapes for Adult Rooms

Quick answer: Moon and sun lighting uses round, radiating, or crescent forms to bring a celestial motif into a living room or bedroom. Mirodemi's range runs from a $285 table lamp to an outdoor moon wall lamp that reaches $2,155.

Sun: a ceiling light that radiates

The Willisau Sun ceiling light is a flat metal and acrylic fixture with slim rays around a center disc, in 18-head (80 cm), 20-head (105 cm), and 30-head (128 cm) versions, each only 7 cm tall. It gives neutral 4500K light, comes with bulbs, and is non-dimmable, which makes it a strong option for rooms with lower ceilings.

Moon: ceiling, wall, and table

The Alba is a 50 cm round LED ceiling lamp with a moon-inspired face in metal and acrylic, with changeable light color, white, pink, gold, or blue star accents, and bulbs included. It suits rooms of 5–10 m². The moon wall lamp pairs copper with marble in a rounded 30 x 20 cm form with a G9 bulb, in warm or white light. For a desk or bedside, the 3D Levitating Moon table lamp suspends a 16 cm ball above an iron base, 36.7 cm tall, in black or silver with warm 3000K light.

If you want the motif outdoors, the Albino waterproof moon wall lamp in stainless steel starts at $765.

What to check before ordering

• Room size. Alba covers 5–10 m², so use it in smaller rooms or as an accent; Willisau 30-head suits larger rooms.
• Dimming. Willisau, Alba, the marble moon wall lamp, and the levitating moon lamp are all listed as non-dimmable.
• Light color. Willisau is 4500K neutral, the table lamp is 3000K warm, and the marble wall lamp offers 3000K or 6000K.

FAQ

Are these only for kids' rooms?
No. Alba is listed for living rooms and bedrooms as well, and the sun, marble moon, and table lamps are styled for adult spaces.

Which is best on a low ceiling?
The Willisau is only 7 cm tall.

Can I mix a sun and a moon in the same room?
It works better if one is a ceiling piece and the other a small accent like the table lamp.
